Description

Short

A free cross-platform card game: fifteen heroes, five factions, singleton decks, a weekly ladder and a draft mode, playing across Steam, Android and iOS on one account.

Long

Tales of Ember is a digital collectible card game made in Poland. Decks are thirty cards and singleton, so no card appears twice and every draw is a different decision. Fifteen heroes are spread across five factions, ten of them combining two factions, which sets what you can build before the first card is played.

There is a weekly ranked ladder that resets on Sunday, a curated draft mode where a limited pool keeps the format readable, campaign puzzles, and community tournaments with prize codes.

Its rules engine and card statistics derive from OpenSky, the open-source release of the code behind the discontinued game Skyweaver, re-implemented on a different engine.

Video and screenshots

A trailer, b-roll and a screenshot set are being produced and will appear here. If you need footage before then, ask at [email protected] and I will record what you need.

Attribution and what not to write

Tales of Ember is an independent game by PuzaGames (Przemysław Puzoń, Poland). Its rules engine and card statistics are built on OpenSky, the Apache-2.0 open-source release of the code behind the discontinued game Skyweaver. PuzaGames is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Sequence, Horizon Blockchain Games or Polygon Labs. Skyweaver is a trademark of Sequence Platforms ULC. Everything else in Tales of Ember is original work.

Tales of Ember is not a revival, sequel or official continuation of Skyweaver, and the studio does not speak for its former team. If you need to describe the relationship, the accurate phrasing is that the game is built on OpenSky, the open-source release of the Skyweaver engine.
